The South Bend Symphony Orchestra announces the appointments of Dr. Breighan Boeskool as Treasurer and Dr. Mark H. Ross as Secretary. Additionally, Jennifer Kary returns to the board, and Kim Farabaugh and Bianca Tirado join the board for the first time.
Dr. Mark H. Ross, a regular at concerts, has served on the board since 2022. As a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Notre Dame, he leads research in compressor and noise control technologies while advising on test engineering and data analysis, leveraging his expertise from a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering. “Mark Ross’s enthusiasm is matched only by his deep appreciation for the Symphony, and his passion for innovation and excellence will undoubtedly drive our mission forward,” adds Executive Director Justus Zimmerman.
Dr. Breighan Boeskool, Assistant Director of Business Intelligence at the University of Notre Dame, combines extensive music theory knowledge with exceptional financial acumen. Her dual expertise has made her an invaluable asset to the Symphony. She has served on the Symphony’s Finance Committee since the 2021-22 season and has capably served as Board Secretary for the past two seasons. “Dr. Boeskool’s unique combination of musical expertise and analytical skills will be instrumental in guiding our financial strategy and ensuring the Symphony’s sustainability and growth,” states Board President Dr. Marvin V. Curtis.
