SOUTH BEND, In. (September 27, 2019) – The South Bend Symphony Orchestral will continue its successful “Happy Hour with the Symphony” series during the 2019-20 Season. Following a national trend, the SBSO launched the series during the 2018-19 Season featuring four unique events, each highlighting symphony musicians and local venues.

The first event of the season, “Happy Hour at the Mansion”,

is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, 2019, from 5:30-7pm at the beautiful and historic Beiger Mansion in Mishawaka. The evening will feature an intimate performance by the SBSO’s new Concertmaster Brendan Shea, who will be joined by pianist, Yerin Kim.

Formatted for convenience (shorter length, local venues), each event will feature conversation, networking, and a live performance by SBSO musicians.  Audience engagement and spontaneous interaction is strongly encouraged.

The “Happy Hour with the Symphony” series will be offered as part of the SBSO’s 2019-20 Season to expand the audiences and introduce a new generation to the joy and beauty of classical music.  Marketing plans include an active social media and print campaign bolstered by an enthusiastic committee of young community leaders.

This innovative concert Series is made possible by the generous support of Kyle P. Everett – Baird Private Wealth Management, and Centier Bank.
