Andrea Daniela

Andrea Daniela was born to be on stage. She is a professional singer, musician, dancer, and actor born and raised in Houston, Texas. Her passion for performing began at the age of 4 and she accredits her foundation at MECA (Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts), a non-profit organization focused on giving youth in the inner city a creative outlet, for allowing her to explore her talents in dance, theater, voice, and music. She is an alumni of Johnston Middle School (now Meyerland MS) and HSPVA (Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts), both renowned magnet schools where she participated in multiple art areas including musical theatre, dance and choir. Andrea went on to study at both University of St. Thomas and UTD where she participated in the Opera and Musical Theater departments, respectively.

In 2009 she placed first in the high school category in the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza in San Antonio, Texas. In 2010 and 2011 she performed at the international festival El Encuentro de Mariachi in Guadalajara, Jalisco with Mariachi Autlan. One of her proudest experiences was playing at the Teatro Degollado and sharing the stage with Mariachi Vargas, Mariachi Camperos and Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan. She competed in the Houston Rodeo’s Mariachi Invitational placing second in both 2016 and 2022 with Mariachi Michoacan of Dallas and Mariachi Imperial of Houston, respectively. As a professional musician she has accompanied artists such as Ana Gabriel, Yolanda Del Río, Paquita la del Barrio, Las Jilguerillas, Espinoza Paz, and Shaila Durcal. In 2018, Andrea was named one of Las Grandes Voces de Mariachi in Guadalajara, Jalisco. In 2019, she was cast in the acclaimed Mariachi Opera El Milagro de Recuerdo with the Houston Grand Opera. Andrea joined the San Antonio Public Theater in her debut lead role as Lucha in American Mariachi in late 2022.

Andrea founded Houston’s first and only all female mariachi in January of 2023, Mariachi Amor a Mexico. Her love for mariachi music has led her to perform on numerous stages across the world such as Norway, Vietnam, and India. She is passionate about fusing mariachi with other genres of music and her mariachi spanglish rendition of “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran went viral in 2020. Beyond being a performer, Andrea Daniela is also an entreprenuer and advocate for the Latinx community, female business owners, and local artists. Trío Chapultepec

Trío Chapultepec is a traditional Mexican Trío ensemble that focuses on their unique style of American and Mexican Folk genres including Jazz, Mariachi, and Trio Romance. The members formed the Trío in late 2019 after several years of knowing and working with each in Central Texas. The Trío is based out of San Antonio, Texas, and has worked professionally since its debut, including several concerts and Opera shows in the Texas and Arizona Opera communities.

After the primary Covid lockdown in the United States, Trío Chapultepec’s live performances and concerts were at an all-time low, however, this allowed the Trío to focus on their first CD, accompanying Houston-based Mezzo-Soprano Cecilia Duarte on their Collaborated Album: Reencuentros.
